It seems that the Japanese publishing company "Capcom" held hopes of a petition on the horror game Resident Evil 7 after an excellent reception of users to a pilot version and offers the propaganda in the recent period, and based on that, the company is expected to sell 4 million copies of the title after the first 24 hours after the put markets.
The company confirmed that the pre-booking orders for the game are very good at the moment, while not clarify whether it intended to sell four million copies of the players themselves or retail stores which are not actual sales.

Well it looks like they have not met an expected goal. As I've read they sold only 3 million copies during first 3 weeks after the game release (http://www.techtimes.com/articles/197181/20170212/capcom-ships-3-million-copies-of-resident-evil-7-over-first-3-weeks-success-or-failure.htm). On the other hand I do expect a bigger success when the game resident evil 7 xbox 360 will start to work on Xbox console. It is more suitable for such a genre of horror games I think.
